James Allen

James Allen, owner of Auto Pro To Call, is a Chapel Hill, NC native. Born and raised just outside of Chapel Hill at a country store-service station, his automotive experience started early. James came to this location in 1984 as manager when it was owned by a local chain of tire stores and worked himself into a position to purchase the business in 1991.

Residing today in southwest Orange County with his wife of over 40 years; they have two sons, Lt. Col. Brent Allen, is an F-16 pilot in the S.C. Air Guard, and Mike Allen, who manages CarFix, James' second shop in Garner. James’ interests are automotive shop management, long distance motorcycle travel, and spending time with his ever growing number of grandchildren!

Bobby Coates

Bobby Coates is a true blue North Carolina Southern Gentleman. Born and raised in Person County, Bobby married his high school sweet heart. Together they raised two sons and now enjoy the freedoms of camping and grandchildren. Bobby served several years in the Army as an MP on the Crime Investigation Unit then started his career in the automotive industry with a major tire chain. He quickly realized that he could not care for his customers at a corporate owned store in a fashion that was consistent with his levels of service. That landed Bobby here at Auto Pro to Call for over 18 years where he consistently sets the benchmarks for customer service and performance.

Bobby has self-trained himself as a master of customer service with the mindset of developing long-term relationships with his customers. This has made Bobby more long-term friends than customers. Bobby Coates, the down-home favorite here at Auto Pro to Call.

Jamie Wells

Jamie Wells brings small town charm to Auto Pro To Call from Somerset, Ohio. Jamie began his career in the automotive industry pumping gas at his uncles’ full service gas station in the late 80’s and eventually moved to North Carolina in 1999. Jamie has worked in the automotive business all his life and even has some experience in the body shop business. He lives here with his wife, Kelly and their daughter, Madison.

When he is away from Auto Pro To Call, Jamie likes competitive pistol shooting in I.D.P.A. and traveling to the mountains and coast.

Scott Jones

Scott Jones is our Parts Department Manager, but no stranger to customer service. A native of small-town Bessemer City, Scott graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1998. He decided to stay in the Triangle area and now resides in Mebane. Scott prides himself on being a family man and loves to spend as much time as he can with his wife and two young sons.

He enjoys watching most all sports as well as participating in a few such as golf and softball. Customer service has been Scott’s top priority for over 10 years and counting. He is easy to talk to and if he does not have the answer, he’ll be sure to find it for you. He will make sure your car is getting quality parts at a price that is competitive. Scott’s goal is to make everyone’s experience at Auto Pro-to-Call like no other!

Adam Welteroth

Born, trapped and raised in Pennsylvania, Adam comes to us with 15 years of experience in the automotive industry. After serving in the US Army as a Cavalry Scout, he went to Pennsylvania State University for a degree in Marketing and Management. Adam is now an ASE Certified Parts Professional. When he is away from Auto Pro To Call, Adam enjoys Nascar Racing, Steelers Football, and camping.

Bill Rote

Bill Rote was born and raised in Houston, Texas. With over 25 years experience in the auto industry working with both independent shops and dealerships, his goal is to provide excellent customer service while making sure his customers are fully aware of their vehicle needs. In his spare time, he enjoys attending music festivals and camping with his companion, Mary Beth Powell, a 33-year resident of the Chapel Hill area, UNC public health employee, and a Tarheel fanatic. Mary Beth's daughter Alyssa is a sophomore at UNC Greensboro. Bill's oldest daughter, Rachel, and her husband, Joe, live in Durham. His youngest daughter, Chloe, and her husband, Daniel, live in Richmond, VA. His son, Will, lives in Houston. By the way, Bill wants you to know that even though he is now a confirmed North Carolina transplant, Texas still rocks!

Eric Rupert

Eric Rupert is one of our ASE certified Master Technicians. He has worked for Auto Pro to Call since 2007 and has over 30 years of experience in the automotive repair industry. Eric came to us from Arizona, where he owned and operated his own repair shop in Tempe. Eric’s passion in car repair is European vehicles. He loves a challenge so, the more complicated the problem, the more fun he will have diagnosing it! Eric loves to listen to classical music as he works on cars.

Vaughn Newman

Vaughn Newman, another of our ASE certified Master Technicians, has been with us since 2007. In his spare time, Vaughn loves to cook just about any type of food, especially if it grew in his garden. He has a recipe for most any meal and takes great pride in the garden at his home. Vaughn has no kids, substituting them with his 3 cats.

Kent Pulliam

Kent Pulliam is our “under the car” expert, specializing in alignment, suspension, and brake work. Kent has kept us company since 2008 and has been in the automotive business for 30+ years. You never know what you may find back on Kent’s alignment rack...from a fully restored classic to the latest 7 series BMW, he knows what to do with them all. Kent enjoys farming in his spare time and regularly maintains a 5+ acre garden.

William McGehee

William McGehee is a ASE certified Master Technician, who has been with us since 2008. Nicknamed “The Book”, he is the professional athlete of mechanics. Watching William work on a vehicle is almost artistic! He flows effortlessly through parts and pieces to get to the repair but, he’s the first to let you know it sometimes gets messy! William likes to hunt and ride 4-wheelers in his spare time.

Will Cooper

Will Cooper is the youngest of our ASE certified Master Technicians, and has been with us since 2009. Will has the ability to handle any and all repairs. And beyond car repairs, if you needed your sailboat's electronic turbine re-circulator repaired, he would be the one to call! All kidding aside, you will not find someone in this industry with the determination and drive than you will find in Will. He prides himself on doing quality work in a timely fashion.

Rogelio Partida

Rogelio Partida is our Tire Bay Service Manager, and has been with the company since 2003. A former Employee of the Year, Rogelio (“Speedy”), is one of the main reasons traffic flow in our shop stays consistent, and your vehicle gets serviced in a timely manner. With his work ethic and attention to detail, he can solve any minor issue your car may have. Speedy has a wonderful family of his wife, 2 daughters and one son. If you see him, say hello! He always has a smile on his face.

Chris Coates

Chris Coates has been an employee of APTC since 1998. He came to work with his father Bobby, when he was 18, and hasn’t left us yet! He worked in our service bays during his early years, but most recently he’s in our parts department and our resident State Inspector. Arguably the most well rounded employee here, Chris has experience in almost every position and can handle almost any problem.

Mitch Bann

Mitch Bann, our Jack of All Trades, was a military brat, born in South Carolina but, he spent his formative years in San Diego. He started his career in the automotive industry in 1997. He moved to North Carolina in 2004 to follow the love of his life, the mother of his two children, Logan and Hailey. During his time with our organization, we have seen Mitch grow from a dirt bike riding wild child to a devoted family man. You may find Mitch behind the service counter, under a car or driving our shuttle but, rest assured, he is an industry pro!
